Obituary: Mrs. Shirley McWaters

 

Mrs. Shirley Ann McWaters of Enterprise (Goodman Community) went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at UAB hospital. She was 72.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from the Goodman Baptist Church with Reverend Cliff Quincy and Reverend Michael Woodham officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing.  Burial will follow in the Goodman Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 until 8 pm.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made to the Goodman Cemetery Fund at 463 County Road 633 Enterprise, Alabama 36330.

Mrs. Shirley was born February 12, 1943 in Coffee County to Alfred and Minnie Watkins. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Elba. Her father as well as one sister, Sandra Watkins, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 52 ½ years Reverend Hubert McWaters; two sons, Galen McWaters (Natosha), Elba, Michael McWaters (Kristy), Live Oak, FL; her mother, Minnie Lou Watkins, Enterprise; one brother, Derris Watkins (Selia), Goodman Community; four grandchildren: Seth, Austin, Sydney, and Sarah McWaters.
