Mrs. Sylvia Ann Pippin Bogner, a resident of Ozark, died Sunday, August 4, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 81 years old.


Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 9, 2024, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Matt Sasser officiating. Interment will follow in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Friday from 9:30 A.M. until service time.


Serving as pallbearers will be Stewart Pinckard, Marty Parson, Darren Windham, Brian Dubois, Shane Pilgrim and John Mason Snell.


Mrs. Bogner was born January 26, 1943 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Horace Pippin and Dovie Lee Gulledge Pippin. She attended Carroll High School and worked with Oakview Manor Nursing Facility as a nursing aid. Later she received a degree in bookkeeping at Alabama Aviation and Technical College and worked as a bookkeeper with Jerry Mitchell Chevrolet and Gilland Wyatt Pontiac. Sylvia was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Ozark. She loved to dance, baking with Haley and Hayden, and gardening. She was an avid Alabama fan.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Bogner; and one grandchild, Haley Vance. Survivors include two daughters, Melony Snell of Ozark and Nancy Snell of Asbury; one son Reggie Snell (Cindy) of Asbury; three sisters, Liz Benton of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Retha Baker of Ozark and Frieda Grimes (Wynn) of Troy; one brother, Ronnie Pippin (Denise) of Orange Beach; one granddaughter, Hayden Hubbard (Darren Windham) of Ozark; five great grandchildren, Brayden Green, Mason Snell, Greysen Williams, Zande Windham and Kayson Windham.


Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory, to the Ozark First Assembly of God Church Building Fund (Nursery), 170 Country Club Drive, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
