   Mrs. Theresa Jane Pollock Burton, a resident of Skipperville, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023, in Oakview Manor Health Care Center. She was 93 years old.


   Funeral services for Mrs. Burton will be 11:00 A. M. Thursday, October 12, 2023, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with her son-in-law, Mr. Jerry Minor, officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home directing.


   The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Flowers will be accepted.


   Mrs. Burton was born October 29, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York to the late James Francis Pollock and Elizabeth Ambry Pollock. Theresa met Willard Burton in New York in 1949 while he was serving in the United States Navy. After their marriage, they traveled to many places and lived at many duty stations. They moved to Ozark in 1984 from Kentucky. Theresa was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church and the Senior Citizens Group in Clio. She enjoyed cooking, word search, reading and her favorite television shows: Adam 12, Perry Mason and any western. She adored her children, grandchildren and her cat, Trina.


   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Willard Burton Sr. and fourteen siblings.


   Survivors include one daughter, JoAnn Minor (Jerry) of Middletown, Ohio; six sons, Willard Burton, Jr. of Charleston, South Carolina, Russell Burton (Cynthia) of Ozark, Alabama, John Burton of Middletown, Ohio, James Burton of Ft. Myers, Florida, Allan Burton Sr. of Skipperville, Alabama and Donald Burton of Ft. Myers, Florida. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
