Obituary: Mrs. Theresa Mae Lassiter


 


Mrs. Theresa Mae Lassiter of Fadette passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at her home.  She was 84. 


Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in the New Hinson Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 


Mrs. Lassiter was born May 24, 1936 in Geneva County to the late Coley and Claudie Burns Smith. 


In addition to her parents, three brothers: Duncan Smith, David M. Smith, and Jim E. Smith all preceded her in death. Theresa worked for many years as a seamstress and was a graduate of Slocomb High School.  She was kind, generous, was always willing to help those around her and will be dearly missed. 


Survivors include her husband, Johny Lassiter; children: Susan Mills (Cullen), Tony Collins (Gary), and Lamar Collins (Pam); step children: Sandy Canevari (Angelo) and Dwayne Lassiter (Melanie); eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; sister, Wanda Shipes; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
