Trilby Sinquefield McCain, age 85, a resident of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Wesley Place on Honeysuckle.
Trilby was born February 19, 1939 in Columbus, Georgia to Pauline and Barnett Sinquefield. Trilby met and married Frank McCain in 1956 in Pensacola, Florida and they went on to have four children. In 1972 they moved their family to Dothan, Alabama.
Trilby was a past member and employee of the Dothan National Golf Club, where she and Frank enjoyed living and playing golf. She also loved to work jigsaw puzzles and crochet, which she did until her passing. She was also a long-time member of Southside Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Thornton (Billy) of Dothan, AL; her sons, Jeff McCain (Dempsey) of Crestview, FL and Kyle McCain (Jil) of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Trae Bedsole (Becky) and their children, Sarah Michael and Thomas of Birmingham, AL, Troy Bedsole (Faith) and their son Oliver of Huntsville, AL, Dana Porter (James) and their children Jaccob and Joshua, Nicole McCain and her children Daniel and Logan Long all of Crestview, FL, Sunnie Fedor (Justin) and their children Thomas, Lucy and Marley Boyd, Dean (John) all of Charlotte, NC, and Ally McCain of Ashville, NC; a brother, Gary Sinquefield (Brenda) of Pensacola, FL; a niece, Joy Hunter (Scott) of Daphne, AL; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Hartline (Jim) of Belpre, OH.
Trilby is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Frank of 58 years; and their son, Franklin Dean McCain, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home in Dothan officiated by family friend, Reverend Bill Hart. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial services will be private.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Trae Bedsole, Troy Bedsole, Dean McCain, James Porter, Billy Thornton, and Scott Hunter.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Trilby’s memory can be made to the Fountain of Love Foundation at Wesley Place on Honeysuckle, 718 Honeysuckle Road, Dothan, AL 36305.
The family is grateful for all of those at Wesley Place that loved and cared for our mother the last nine years of her life.
