   Mrs. Vaudine Perkins Rylee, a resident of Ozark, died early Monday, November 4, 2024. She was 81 years old.


   Funeral services for Mrs. Rylee will be 3:30 P. M. Wednesday, November 6, 2024, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Joey Hudspeth officiating. Entombment will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 13, 2024, in Jefferson Memorial Gardens (1591 Gadsden Hwy - Birmingham, Alabama 35235) Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.


   The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Wednesday from 2:30 P.M. until service time.


   Mrs. Rylee was born March 11, 1943 in Fayette, Alabama to the late Shade Perkins and Effie Mae Pendley Perkins. She worked for over twenty years in the food service industry. She was a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program for many years. Mrs. Rylee said that the proudest times in her life was when she gave her heart to Jesus and the time her son was born. She was a member of the First Church of The Nazarene.


   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Lewis Rylee; two sisters, Margene Golden and Ursula Smith; and one nephew, Allen Golden. She is survived by two nieces, Shannon Williams (Roy) of Ozark and Sonja Smith (Roger) of Hoover, Alabama; one sister, Shirley McDonald of St. Petersburg, Florida; one nephew, Jason Grace (Leslie) of St. Petersburg, Florida; five great nephews and three great nieces.


   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society, P. O. Box 2502, Ozark, Alabama 36361; or to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36111.
