Wanda Rahaim 1962 – 2023
Wanda Kay Rahaim, age 61, of Dothan, Alabama, passed away on October 1, 2023.
She was born on May 26, 1962, in Red Bay, Alabama, to the late Dorothy Russell. Wanda was a wonderfully caring soul who loved to please everyone she met. Her smile would light up any room she walked into. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Wanda is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, William G. Rahaim (Billy). She is also survived by her sister, Mary Russell Fuller (Mike); her son, Bradley D Sprague (Tammy); her daughters, Brittney Kay Rahaim (Ryan Black) and Megan Jeanelle Rahaim (Des Gallant); her grandchildren, Skyla Sprague, Ariel Sprague, Jenna Sprague, Isaiah Black, Lucas Black; and her great-grandchild, Alexandra Lykins. Wanda is also survived by her nephew, Michael Fuller (Everett, Caroline & Reed), and her niece, Kristen Cardwell (Evan, Annie & Ellie). She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hollis and Delilah Higginbottom, her mother Dorothy Jean Russell, and her in-laws, William (Bill) and Inez Rahaim.
Wanda attended Cherokee High School and went on to have a successful career in the restaurant industry. She spent many years managing at Jack's Family Restaurant and serving at Bob Evans and Frisch's restaurants as well as several cashier positions. Wanda's dedication and hard work were evident in her excellent customer service skills.
In her free time, Wanda enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing Candy Crush, and trying her luck with lottery scratch-offs. These hobbies brought her joy and relaxation.
A visitation will be held on October 7, from 11:00 am -1:00 pm, at First Baptist Church Colbert Heights, in Tuscumbia, AL followed directly by a memorial service to celebrate Wanda's life. The services will be conducted by Dr. Seth Hood. The Ward-Wilson Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Wanda will be remembered for her loving nature, infectious smile, and dedication to making others happy. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
