Willie Jo Henley-Hendrick, 83, formerly of Talladega died June 14, 2013 at Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Facility in Abbeville, Alabama.
Graveside services for Mama Jo will be held at 11 AM Monday, June 17, 2013 at Hepzibah Baptist Church Cemetery in Talladega, Alabama with Father Benjamin Turnage officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until 7 PM Sunday evening at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. In lieu, of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer or Heart Association in Birmingham.
Mama Jo was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was known for making the best fried chicken, love of her country’s flag, following her Auburn Tigers and the Atlanta Braves.
Survivors include her loving family, two daughters, Sandra (Bobby) King, Dothan, Dianne (Charles) Kroncke, Auburn; four grandchildren, David Hannah, Brian (Kathy) Hannah, Carrie (Jeff) McDaniel, all of Dothan, Greg (Jennifer) Townsend, Colorado Springs, CO; eight great grandchildren, Zachary and Matthew Hannah, Kala and Jacob Baker, Alex, Anna, Aidan and Emma Townsend.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Meadows and Henry County Health and Rehab and Libby Hogeland, Deborah Davis, Faith Gamble and the entire caring staff of the Alzheimer unit for their tender care, professionalism and love shown to our precious mother.
