Mrs. Wyllene Ramsey Sasser went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, March 12, 2012.  She was 79.


 


Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva.  Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continue until service time.


 


Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice.


 


Mrs. Sasser was born September 3, 1932 in Coffee County, Alabama to the late Albert Hunter and Ruby Clyde Ward Ramsey.  She loved Southern Gospel Music and enjoyed attending sings at various churches.  She was a very gifted pianist and taught piano for a number of years.  Wyllene was a member of Darlington Baptist Church.


 


In addition to her parents, a granddaughter, Tammy Middlesworth, a grandson, Eugene Smith, a brother, Harold Ramsey, as well as two sisters, Elizabeth Ramsey and Vera Curenton, all preceded her in death.


 


Survivors include three daughters: Elaine (Larry) Griswold, New Brockton, Diane (James) Geiger, Satsuma, FL, and Debra (Robert) Miller, Geneva; one sister, Helen (Billy) Tindol, New Brockton; two grandchildren: Charlie Gardner, Summerville, SC, April Strickland, Ft. Walton Beach, FL; five great-grandchildren; four special caregivers: Nikie Whitehead, Jasmine, Meagen and Deborah Head, all of Enterprise; several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
