Barbara Ann “Peaches” Turner, a resident of Dothan, died Monday, August 15, 2016 at Washington County Rehab & Nursing Center in Chipley, Florida. She was 62.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Saturday, August 20, 2016 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Bro. Don Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 PM until 2:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
Barbara was the daughter of Harvie and Geraldine Bragan Hall of the Malvern community. She attended Taylor Elementary and Rehobeth High School. Barbara was employed by Colonial Bread/Sara Lee for 25 years and later worked for Dr. Shakir Meghani. Her children and grandchildren were the loves of her life and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, uncles and aunts, Mr. & Mrs. Elijah Hall, Alvie Hall, Mr. & Mrs. James E. Hall, Mr. & Mrs. Richard Hall, Mr. & Mrs. Willard Hall and Mr. & Mrs. Fletcher Harden.
Survivors include a daughter and son in law, DeAnna and DWayne Payne; son and daughter in law, Doug and Jessica Turner; grandchildren, Hunter and Haylee Payne, Charlie Turner, Shelby Grace Turner and her mother, Lacy Berry; sister and her husband, Patricia and Paul Scott; two nieces, Julie Scott, Jennifer and Edward Hall; nephew, Justin and Karen Scott; father of her children, Ron Ditmer and Robert T. Turner; special friends Darlene Hilyer, Artelma Wright and Judy Rice.
