Betty was born January 29, 1936 in Webb, Alabama to the late Dallas Clinton and Dora Wilda Causey Haden. She was a 1954 graduate of Houston County High and was Salutatorian and Secretary of her class. Following graduation, she began a career at Smith’s Inc. when she was 17 years old and worked hard and faithfully for 44 years. Betty was the best employee Smith’s Inc. ever had according to Mr. John Watson, who has been a very special dear friend that she considered family for many years. She served as Treasurer for Webb UMC where she has been a lifelong member. Betty had a beautiful heart of gold and lived the example of how a devout Christian woman should be. She never complained about things she had to deal with and she only saw the good in people. She went through life with her legs bound in braces but that never stopped her from having a very positive outlook and the best attitude that only those who knew her can imagine.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert and Tommy Haden.

Survivors include her brother, Bruce Haden; special niece, Glenda Spann, who she considered a daughter; special great niece, Destiny Weaver, who she considered her granddaughter; nieces, Deborah Beech, Missy Haden, Amanda Banner; great nieces, Ashtyne Beech, Natalie Gonzalez, great nephews, Justin Haden, Kenlee Hinson; great great nephews, Bear Beech, Judah Gonzalez, Cruz Gonzalez and a special sister in law, Brenda Robinson.
