Obituary:  Ms. Cynthia J. "Shan~Tiffy" Smith

Ms. Cynthia J. "Shan~Tiffy" Smith of Slocomb passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Flowers Hospital.  She was 67.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 27 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb with Rev. Scott Byrd & Rev. Brian Cowley officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.

Cynthia was born November 10, 1948 in Houston County to the late Stacy and Frances Margaret Smith.  She owned and operated Shan~Tiffy’s Flower Shop in Slocomb for many years.  She was known for her beautiful, one of a kind, silk baskets with pretty, perfect bows, large live plants and collegiate wreaths.  Cynthia loved the citizens of Slocomb and they loved her. She was kind, good and opinionated!  On more than one occasion,  Cynthia was quoted in the local paper or interviewed  by a local television news reporter concerning the issues of the day, and rest assured, her analysis would always be honest and entertaining.  Slocomb will miss "Shan~Tiffy"!

In addition to her parents, one brother, Guy H. Smith preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters: Shannon Sheffield and Tiffany Abbott Rodgers, both of Slocomb; three grandchildren whom she loved dearly and were always right: Hagan, Triston and Austin; one sister, Charlotte Smith, Columbus, GA; one brother, John T. Smith (Debbie), Odon, IN; other extended family and a host of friends!
