OZARK…Ms. Diane Collins McBroom, a resident of Ozark, died late Thursday morning, November 7, 2024, at her home. She was 80.
In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services planned at this time. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.
In words from the family, “She was our life, heart and love. She was a wonderful mother, sister, daughter, and aunt. She was always dependable for anyone who needed comfort, advice, and anything she could possibly offer. She always looked for good in everyone and never had a bad word for anyone. She was the most peaceful person we have ever known. There was no mean bone in her body. We cannot tell you how much we are going to miss her. She was our glue. There will be a huge ripple effect through our family and we can use all your prayers.” She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Darlene McWhorter; parents, John Pryor Collins and Laura Rogers Collins; siblings, Francis Wylie, Jim Collins, Larry Collins, Lena Bennet, Merle Helms, and Margie Laney.
Surviving relatives include her daughters, Phyllis McManus, Daleville, and Debi Rollins, Ozark; grandchildren, Nikki and Emmett Foreman, Brooke McManus, Rusty McWhorter, and Christopher McWhorter; great-grandchildren, Brantley and Greyson Harrison McManus, Kaylee and Christopher Lee McWhorter, Jr. (CJ), Shane, Paisley, and David McWhorter; great great grandson, Carson McWhorter; sisters, Zelda Ghent, Indian Land, South Carolina, Laura Lee Kimbrell, Rock Hill, South Carolina, Blanche Vinson, Gray, Georgia, and Becky Daniels, Mound City, Kansas; brother-in-law, Johnny Laney, Indian Land, South Carolina; special friends to the family, Rich Daniels, Franksville, Wisconsin, Doug Moss, Catawba, South Carolina, and Phil Lemmonds, Waxhaw, North Carolina.
To Mom: In today’s world family ties mean more than ever and you deserve a million thanks for being such a caring Mom. You have always helped the whole family feel loved, secure and close…and you will always be a special part of all our hearts and memories. WE LOVE YOU- Your devoted Family.
