LOUISVILLE, ALABAMA…Emmaleigh Margaret Welch, a resident of Louisville, Alabama (formerly of Panama City, Florida), died early Friday evening, August 4, 2023, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident, near Echo. She was 18.


            In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services planned at this time. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.


            Emmaleigh was born March 18, 2005, in Warner Robbins, Georgia and has lived in the Wiregrass area for the past six months. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, listening to music and especially shopping. Emmaleigh always enjoyed taking selfies as most teenagers do. She had many friends who she loved and she loved her dogs and cats. Emmaleigh loved her family and especially spending time and talking to her grandmother. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Harold Welch and a great-uncle, Steve Welch.


            Surviving relatives include her mother, Meghan Highnote (Kendall); sisters, Sophia Welch, Haileie Stephens, and Skyler Stephens; grandparents, Wanda Powers and Desse Powers, Rebecca Johnson and James Johnson; brother, Alexander Welch; aunts and uncles, Mickayla Miller, Hunter Miller, Nicholas Johnson, Michael Coach, Cinnamon Coach, and Patience Johnson; great-aunt, Tammie Warren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
