Ms. Esther Ruth Schaufele Lippert, age 91, a resident of Ashford, Alabama, died early Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at the Southeast Health Hospital in Dothan, Alabama.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. (EDT) Monday, August 15, 2022, at the Bay Pines National Cemetery near St. Petersburg, Florida with Dr. Richard Baker officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Dothan directing.

The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dothan Botanical Gardens, 5130 Headland Avenue, Dothan, Alabama 36303.

Ms. Lippert was born on September 30, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Reinhold and Augusta Charlotte Schwarz Schaufele.  She grew up in Brown City, Michigan, and was a graduate of Brown City High School.  Ms. Lippert was a homemaker, where she also enjoyed gardening, crocheting and most of all loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Allen Lippert, and a brother, Irvin Schaufele.

Survivors include: three daughters, Donna Tilley, Rogersville, TN.; Linda Cantlin (William) and Phyllis Ewell (Larry), both of Ashford; three sons, Randy Lippert (Christine), Largo, FL.; Robert Lippert (Angie), Parrish, FL., and Richard Lippert (Terri), Roan Mountain, TN.; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Elfrieda Nielsen, Brown City, MI.
