Frances Brinks Cobb, 91 of Dothan, died, March 22, 2012 in Cook Springs Nursing Facility in Birmingham, Al.


Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2012 in Clearman Chapel of Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Reverend Wallace Russell and Reverend Rickey Plummer officiating. Burial will follow in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2012 at the funeral home. The family will be at the family residence.


Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund, 3257 East Cottonwood Road, Dothan, AL  36301


Born in Donalsonville, GA, she was a daughter of the late Walter Lee and Maggie Green Wright. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse with Flowers Hospital and Southeast Alabama Medical Center as well as Private Duty Nursing prior to her retirement. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she was a member of the Joyful Seniors and the Mae Sunday School Class.


In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cobb was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Walter C. (Effie Lee) Wright, a daughter-in-law, Michelle Brinks, a granddaughter, Candace Taylor and her two spouses, Rex Brinks and Rufus C. Cobb.


Surviving are two sons, William Rex “Bill” Brinks, Laingsburg, Michigan and F. Greg Brinks, Irondale, AL; a daughter, Carol (Quin) Miller, Dothan, AL; six grandchildren, Walter Gregory (Belinda) Brinks, William Gordon (Carmen) Brinks, Rebecca Leigh (Johnathan Hogan) Johnson, Mark (Jessica) Miller, Ashley (Jeremy) Adams, Allison (Jeremy) Till; ten great grandchildren, Tyler Brinks, Kayleigh Brinks, Tucker Brinks, Charlsie Brinks, Hayes Taylor, Ben Miller, John Miller, Graci & Andrew Kidd and Griffin Till.


Serving as active pallbearers are Walter Brinks, William Brinks, Mark Miller, Johnathan Hogan, Morris Stringer and Ed Scarbrough. Serving as Honorary pallbearers are members of the Joyful Seniors and the Mae Sunday School Class of Bethel Baptist Church.
