Janice Lee Manes, a resident of Ariton, Alabama, died Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Dale Medical Center in Ozark, Alabama. She was 81.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Ms. Janice was born to the late Chester and Calla Mae Arvin Gray. Living most of her life in California, recently moving to Ariton, Alabama. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was an avid Shuffleboard player, playing in many tournaments. Her hobbies included Sewing, putting puzzles together, gardening, and going to garage sales. Ms. Janice loved her lord and savior Jesus Christ. She never met a stranger, talking to and sharing her love to everyone. If you were in need and come across Ms. Janice, her door was always open. Once she met you, you had a friend for life. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles and Kenny Gray.
Survivors include her four sons, Sherman Kersten (Debbie), Chris Nix, Randy Nix (Tela), and Kenneth Manes (Jo Ann); three sisters, Lilian Patti, Margaret Marshall, and Sandy Vrabel (Regis); eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and a special cat, Bobby.
