Jeanne Blake was born in Montgomery, Alabama at Maxwell AFB on August 13, 1948. Her father Dill Averett was activity duty Air Force, so she lived in many different states and in France for 3 1/2 years. She attended Enterprise State Junior College then transferred to Auburn University. Jeanne completed her Bachelor of Education degree in secondary education at Florida International University. She lived in Homestead, Florida before moving to Montgomery, Alabama where she earned an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy and worked as a Physical Therapy Assistant at St. Margaret’s Hospital. She also received a certificate in massage therapy from the Bluefield School of Massage therapy in Mobile, Alabama and opened her own business in the Baldwin County town of Loxley. Jeanne loved the Lord and attended Christ Presbyterian Church in Daphne, Alabama before moving to Dothan. She was an animal lover and staunch supporter of our country’s military. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, reading, supporting the Auburn Tigers and being with family.
