Kimberly Alicia Turner, a resident of Dothan, died Friday, November 3, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with colon cancer. She was 46.
Funeral services will be at 5 PM, Sunday, November 5, 2017 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Reverend David Baker officiating and Southern Heritage directing.
Visitation will be two hours prior from 3PM to 5PM at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 600 Celebrate Like Parkway, Newnan, Georgia 30265.
Kim was employed for 23 years as a Correction Officer with the Houston County Sherriff’s
Office. She currently held the position as Admin Sargent. She spent most of her spare time making ceramics, winning many prestigious awards, along with several magazine articles being published with her ceramics.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dalton Miller; step father, Jessie Money; and one infant son.
She is survived by one son Mason Turner (Destiny); her mother, Ruby Miller; one brother Curtis Miller (Tiffany); two nieces, Kendall and Kolbie Miller; lots of friends and coworkers.
Special thanks to all the many supporters and tireless work that was done for Kim’s cause, and to the ceramic group of Hobby Lobby, that she dearly loved.
