            Ms. Lucille Lamb, age 95, of Ashford passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Wesley Manor.


            Born November 5, 1919 in Houston County to the late Gordan and Estelle Fulton Lamb, Ms. Lamb was a member of Springfield Freewill Baptist Church. She retired from teaching after 37 years. She taught at Troy from 1937-1939, Webb from 1939-1946, Ashford from 1946-1949, Bonifay from 1949-1952, and Panama City’s Cherry Street School from 1952-1976. Ms. Lucille will be remembered as a loving caregiver who enjoyed travelling and needlepoint and crocheting after she retired.


            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl Lamb, Clyde Lamb, M. H. “Deck” Lamb, Dick Lamb, and Judge Lamb; her sisters, Blanche Baxter and Nell McArthur; and her niece, Renee Lamb Carroll.


            Survivors include Dorothy Lamb Oaks, Ricky Carroll, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


            Funeral services will be held at 5 PM, Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne Parker officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 PM until 5 PM Tuesday, September 22, 2015 one hour prior to the service.
