Lucille Taylor, a resident of Dothan, died Friday, September 21, 2012 at her residence. She was 84.

Graveside services for Ms. Taylor will be held at 11:30 AM Monday, September 24, 2012 at Gardens of Memory with Reverend Otis Mann officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.

Ms. Taylor was born May 14, 1928 to E.A. and Lessie Mae Richardson Butler in Houston County where she was a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker who loved to cook, take long walks and collecting angels.

Ms. Taylor is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Junior Butler.

Survivors include her two sons, Mike Taylor, Midland City, Donald Taylor and wife, Robin, Dothan; two daughters, Glenda Campbell and husband, Ronnie, Malvern, Vera Mae Taylor, Dothan; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Voncille Maddox, Montgomery and Ressie Bell Watkins, Dothan; sister in law, Mary Nell Butler, Dothan.
