OZARK…Ms. Margaret Richardson Revels, a resident of Ozark, died early Saturday afternoon, May 20, 2023, in Dale Medical Center. She was 84.
In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services planned at this time. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Revels, daughter of the late Edgar Richardson and Elois Minter Richardson, was a native of Danville, Virginia. She worked for Texaco Oil Corporation for twenty-two years as an office clerk and was a Navy wife to George B. Revels, Sr. for eighteen years. Ms. Revels moved to Ozark in 2022 to be with her son and daughter-in-law. She enjoyed Facebook, soap operas, Dunkin Donuts coffee, and talking to family on the phone. Ms. Revels was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting Teddy Bears. She was a member of Laurel Grove Baptist Church in Sutherlin, Virginia. Ms. Revels was preceded in death by her siblings, Marvin Richardson (Watsy), Bill Richardson, Barbara Flowers (Charlie), Jeansie Howsare, and her favorite dog, Joey.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Cheri Corbitt (Doug), Austinville, Virginia and Susan Parker (Michael), Yorktown, Virginia; two sons, George Revels (Regina), Ozark and Scott Revels, Pflugerville, Texas; her grandchildren, Brooke Sumners, Krystle Revels, Shannon John (Scott), Leslie Rehbein (David), Kyle Cook, Forrest Parker (Juli), Damon Corbitt, Rachel Revels, Hannah Hohl (Chris), Kalsin Parker, and Morgan Revels; eleven great-grandchildren; her sister, Sandra Richardson, Colonial Heights, Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews.
