Ms. Patricia (Patty) Branch Dooley Combs of Pansey, Alabama passed away June 7, 2015 at her home with her family at her bedside.
Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, June 12, 2015 at Liberty Baptist Church, Pansey, Alabama with Reverend Coley Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, June 11, 2015. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service where she was a longtime member.
Patty was born in Sanford, Florida on April 26, 1943. After 34 years, she returned home to Pansey where she resided until her death. She attended Ashford High School, graduated with Class of 1961. Patty was a lover of country music because of her son’s involvement of country music for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Irene Branch; her husband, Carrol Dooley, the Father of her sons; husband, Virlan Combs; her oldest son, Tim Dooley; grandparents, Carlton and Camellia Engram.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Dooley, Nashville, Tennessee and Andy Dooley of Pansey, Alabama; brother Sammy (Sam) Branch of Orlando, Florida; sister, Clarene Branch Bell, husband, James of Pansey, Alabama; daughter –in-law, Julie Dooley, Fresno, California; three grandchildren, Brittany Dooley, Fresno, California; Chelsea Dooley, Bakersfield, California; Bryson Dooley, Fresno, California and Jordan Dooley of San Diego, California; step-granddaughter, Brittany Carson, Fresno, California; nephews Curtis Branch Murphy of North Carolina; Sam Branch (Crystal), great niece, Emma Brook Branch of Harrison, TN.; and a lot of old-time friends.
Pallbearers will be, Mark and Andy Dooley (sons), Sam Branch (brother), Wondall Culbreth, Jimmy Womack and William Stuart McArthur.
The family would like to thank Dr. James Sullivan and Staff, Gentiva Home Health and Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Patty and our family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or to Gentiva Home Health and Hospice.
