Patsy Coker of Defuniak Springs FL and Cottonwood AL, born on the 4th of November, 1952, passed away suddenly on the 19th of August, 2024. Known for her vivacious personality and free spirit, she was a beacon of positivity and enriched the lives of everyone she met. Her favorite quote, "Not all those who wander are lost," perfectly encapsulates the essence of who she was.
Patsy was predeceased by her beloved parents, Eugene and Jacqueline Coker of Cottonwood AL, and her dear brother, Mickey Coker. She leaves behind a loving family, including her daughter Shannon Oliver, her brothers Bobby (Pam) Coker, David (Teresa) Coker, and Tim (Nancy) Coker, and a sister Marcy (Robert) Bacon, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews, family, and friends to cherish her loving memory forever. They, along with countless friends and acquaintances, mourn Patsy's departure but celebrate the joy and love that she brought into their lives.
She was a true lover of life, frequently traveling across the United States on any side road she came across. A vibrant gypsy soul whose life was a testament to the beauty of a free spirit. From the lively tunes of the Rolling Stones and Mick Jagger to the dramatic thrill of the TV show Yellowstone and the movie Tombstone, Patsy's diverse taste in entertainment and arts was just one of the many ways her energetic spirit shone through.
Patsy's legacy will endure in the memories of the many lives she touched. Her laughter, her boundless energy, and her zest for life were infectious, and those who were fortunate enough to have known her have undoubtedly been changed for the better. May her legacy of joy and boundless imagination continue to inspire all who loved her.
Services will be held privately with family.
