Ms. Peggy Cotton of Stephens Ferry Road, Samson, Alabama passed away Monday, August 26, 2013. She was 74.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Bro. Keith Chamblee and Bro. Dell Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in the McDuffie Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, August 27, from 6 until 8 p.m.
Ms. Cotton was born August 23, 1939, in Geneva County, Alabama to the late Lonnie D. and Epsey Lee Curry Cotton. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed working in the family business at Cotton’s Grocery in Geneva. She attended Geneva First Assembly of God Church.
In addition to her parents five brothers: Dorman, Nathan, Ray, Dalton and Don Cotton, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include one sister, Dorothy L. Driggers, Coffee Springs; one brother, Carl Cotton, Freeport, FL; two sisters-in-law: Patricia Floyd (Dell), Samson, and Frances Cotton, Geneva; a number of special nieces and nephews who were very dear to her heart; other extended family and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Michael Ellenburg, Scott Gilmore, Joey Cotton, Joby McLaney, Mark McDuffie, Michael McDuffie and Zackery McLaney.
