Ms. Ruby Nell (Harrison) Snellgrove, so fondly known as “Nell” to friends and family and “MawMaw” to her grands and great-grands, joined the arms of Jesus in the early morning hours on Friday, March 16, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward S. Snellgrove, her parents Price and Julia Harrison, and several sisters and brothers.
She is survived by her only child, Ricky Snellgrove and his wife June, of Enterprise. Granddaughters, Christi Snellgrove (Sam) and her namesake granddaughter Ruby (Atlanta), Lindsay Reese (Brad) and their three children, Paisley, Perry and Porter (Atlanta), and her grandson Brad Snellgrove (Ashley) and their two daughters, Emme Grace and Sadie Brooks (Enterprise).
MawMaw was a very loving and gracious grandmother. Her homemade biscuits, pound cake and dumplings were the best; she could put a feast on the table with little effort and wanted anyone hungry to come. She was known for her cheerful love for others, a quick wit, and could fish for hours on end!
A celebration of her life will be held at the chapel of Searcy Funeral Home on Sunday, March 17th at at 2:00 pm - visitation starting at 1:00 with Dr. Ben Bowden officiating. Everyone is invited to attend. Prior to that, her family will be gathered at her old homesite, 500 Mixson Street in Enterprise.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Enterprise Health and Re-hab, where she had been a resident for several years, Dr. David Rhyne, Day Springs Hospice, and the staff members of these organizations who served her so well.
A very special love and thank-you to two of her nieces who adored and pampered her to the highest level, Sue Crowell Redden and Barbara Crowell Davis. She loved you both so much.
