Shirley Ann Jackson, a beloved mom and cherished member of the community, passed away on Friday evening, December 8, 2023, in Pensacola, Florida. Born on March 1, 1958, in Dothan, Alabama, Shirley touched the lives of many with her warm and caring nature. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever be remembered.
Throughout her life, Shirley dedicated herself to her profession as a Manager at Lolo’s Convenience Store in Dothan. For many years, she served the community with a smile on her face and kindness in her heart. Shirley’s dedication to her work was unrivaled, and she became a beloved figure to both her colleagues and customers alike.
But Shirley’s impact extended far beyond the four walls of Lolo’s convenience store. She was an exceptional mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. With a heart of gold, she always looked out for others and provided unwavering support to those who needed it most. Her presence With her lending a listening ear and open arms for a hug, she brought comfort and joy to countless lives throughout the years.
Shirley will be deeply missed by her many friends who were fortunate enough to experience her genuine warmth and friendship. Her kindness knew no bounds, and she had a unique ability to make those around her feel valued and loved. Shirley’s immense capacity for love made her an extraordinary individual who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The news of Shirley’s passing has left a void in the community that will be difficult to fill. The impact she had on people from all walks of life is a testament to her character and the person she was. In times of sorrow or need, Shirley was always there with an outstretched hand and an empathetic ear. Her absence will be keenly felt by all who relied on her comforting presence.
A visitation will be held at Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home in Ozark, Alabama, on Tuesday December 12, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This will be an opportunity for family and friends to come together to remember Shirley and share fond memories of her remarkable life. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at 6:00 P.M. in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel.
Shirley leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her daughter Autumn and grandson Shaun Paul Stephens. She was a devoted daughter to CB "Buddy" Jackson and Annise Whitehead Jackson. Shirley was also a beloved sister to Lenorah Graham, Jerry Shirah (Kathy), also nieces and nephews, Kelly Shirah Graves (Ray), Norma Jean Quick, Brandy King Shirah, Michael Shane Quick (Miriam), John Shirah and (Ginger), James Shirah (Melissa). She is preceded in death by an infant son, Baby Coker , grandparents, Daniel Whitehead and Minnie Lee Whitehead and JB Jackson and Susie Smith Oliver, and brother-in-love, Mike Graham.
As we bid farewell to Shirley Ann Jackson, it becomes clear that words alone cannot capture the immense impact she had on the lives of those around her. Her selflessness, compassion, and unconditional love were beacons of light for everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Though she is no longer physically with us, Shirley’s spirit will live on through the countless memories we shared with her.
