Ms. Voncille White of Dothan, Alabama went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 surrounded by her loving family after a battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was 87.
Funeral Services will be held at 2PM, Sunday, March 7, 2021 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Chaplain Sonny Moore officiating. Interment will be immediately following the service in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1PM to 2PM at the funeral home.
Voncille was born on June 2, 1933 in Madrid, Alabama to the late J.W. and Mirtie Clark Johnson of Chipley, Florida. She attended Rehobeth High School where she was crowned “Miss Rehobeth” and maintained a presence within the alumni community throughout her life. She was a successful realtor for many years in Dothan, and later worked for the State of Florida Expressway Authority. Voncille was a very talented cook and baker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her family and friends dearly. As a loyal friend her home was always warm and welcoming. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Ms. Voncille was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert (Hub) White of Dothan, AL; a sister, Ellen Lucille Hightower of Bonifay FL; two brothers, Henry Carlos Johnson of Panama City, FL and David Anderson Johnson of Atlanta, GA.
Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Brattmiller (Todd) of Orlando, FL. and Johanna Sizemore of Valdosta, GA; five grandchildren, Shiloh Brattmiller-Crayton (Scott), Kristina Brattmiller-Whitehead (Joseph), Kathryn Brattmiller-Maney (Matt), Lauren Sizemore, and James Jay Sizemore; two great grandchildren, Oliver Sizemore and Logan Brattmiller; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Todd Brattmiller, Jay Sizemore, Joseph Whitehead, Scott Crayton, Casey Hightower, and Tim Hightower.
The family would like to express their appreciation to their friends and neighbors at Lakeview Terrace and Cornerstone Hospice for all the care and love shown during Ms. Voncille’s illness.
