Myra (Judy) Flowers Waters Reynolds went to be with her Lord on October 3, 2016. Judy was born May 30, 1920 to Lorenzo and Eva Flowers in Pike County Alabama. She was the oldest of 10 children, including 4 brothers and 5 sisters.
Judy had two main priorities in her life: her first was her relationship with her Savior, Jesus Christ and her second was her family. She was a long time member of Saint Paul Methodist Church in Enterprise, Alabama where she enjoyed teaching in the children’s ministries and singing in the choir. She was not afraid of hard work and with joy would step in and serve any place where a need arose. She was a longtime member of the Bullard Chapter 457 of Eastern Star in Enterprise, where she held many offices over the years, and was also a member of Chapter 189 of Milton.
Judy grew up during the Great Depression and was always frugal with her personal expenses but she always gave happily and generously to others. In her adult life, she was employed for short periods by Bama Cotton Mill and by Sessions Peanut Mill. She spent almost 40 years clerking at Butler’s 5 & 10 and Colson’s clothing store.
She married Oscar Waters and had one son, Ted Waters. After the death of Oscar, she married Cecil Reynolds and inherited another son Jerry Reynolds and a daughter, Betty Sue McGilberry.
Judy is survived by her son, James “Ted” Waters and Hilda (wife), Grandson, Jim Waters and Rhonda (wife), Great-Grandchildren Devon and Nate; Granddaughter Kristi Waters Blake and Bradley (husband), Great Grandchildren Britton, Weston, Trenton, Grayson, Davis, and Sadie.
