Nancy “Nanna” Money Ledford, 56, of Dothan passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 at a local hospital.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 pm on Sunday October 6, 2013 at Midway Assembly of God Church in Midland City, AL with Pastor Michael Senn officiating. Dinner will follow at JC's Annex with special singing by The Original Senn Family.

To those who would like to send flowers, we are starting a fund in memory of Nanna. Her heart was in Operation Manna, feeding the hungry. She was trying to get better so she could help with this ministry (starting in Nov 2013). But God saw fit to take her home. This fund will be headed up by the church, of which she is a Charter Member. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials in her name to Midway Assembly of God, P.O. Box 608, Midland City, Alabama, 36350.

Mrs. Ledford was born September 13, 1957 in Marianna FL, and lived her life in Florida and Georgia until 1994 when she moved to Dothan, AL. She was of the Pentecostal faith, and lived a life as a Christian wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Kings Table Worship Center in Midland City until the church relocated to Florida. In that ministry she enjoyed helping in Operation Manna and feeding the hungry. When Pastor Senn came back to Alabama, he started Midway Assembly of God in Midland City, and Nanna was a charter member. Her heart is in the food ministry and she was looking forward to reopening that in November. She was a prayer warrior and was involved with the prayer team. She became sick in 2007 and God proved his word and provided her healing on September 29, 2013 in her new body! Her heart was her Lord, her daughter, her grandchildren and her son in law. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 yrs, Bunyon Ledford, who was the love of her life (married on Oct 23, 1975); her mother, Tina Money; her father, Robert Money Sr.; her brother, Robert Money Jr.; and her step-daughter in law, Kathy Ledford.

Survivors include her daughter, Samantha Ledford Hallford and her husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Robert Gilman, Joshua Scott, Clarissa Hallford, Courtney Hallford, all of Dothan, AL; a sister, Jewell Eloise Peebles, Lake Wales, FL; brothers, Joe Evans (Chris), Bristol, VA, and Thomas Bailey (Carolyn), Wauchula, FL; step-children, James Allen Ledford, Ocilla, GA, Teresa Kern (Ronnie), Auburndale, FL, William Ledford, Winter Haven, FL, Jimmy Ledford (Debbie), Winter Haven, FL, Carolyn Beardon (Joe), Winter Haven, FL, and Royce Ledford (Lynn), Winter Haven, FL; many step-grand and step-great-grandchildren; a special daughter, Julie Hicks, Winter Haven, FL; a special son, Matthew Scott, Dothan, AL; 8 nieces, Tina McCullough Lake Wales, FL, Tammy Hyatt, VA, Joanna Wiard, Moultrie, GA, Joyce McCullough, Lake Wales, FL, Misty Phillips, Wauchula, FL, Crystal Reinoso, Janesville, WI, Chrystal Barr, Bristol, VA, Jennifer Hurley, Bristol, VA, many great nieces and nephews; special friends, Keith Hulsey, Greg and Deloris Seay; many adopted "children and grand children" through the years; and several close friends from Midway Assembly of God Church.
