NATALIE HARRISON KNIGHT

BAINBRIDGE, GA… Natalie Harrison Knight, a resident of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away Saturday evening, April 27, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was 59.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 P.M. EST Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Donalsonville First Church of the Nazarene in Donalsonville, Georgia with Pastor Waylon Day and Pastor Scott Messer officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, 5008 Vada Road Climax, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. (EST) until 4:00 P.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family would like contributions made to Donalsonville First Church of Nazarene; 108 W. Crawford Street, Donalsonville, Georgia 39845.

Natalie was born in Dothan, Alabama to the late Harold Harrison and Anna Deatherage Harrison. She was a graduate of Headland High School, class of 1982. She attended college at American Intercontinental University where she obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration. She used her degree to manage her family and home, and did it well. Natalie was famous for several things, such as her pumpkin logs, holiday goodie bags for the grandbabies and her overflowing Christmas stockings. She loved a hot cup of coffee in the morning and sunsets at the beach. She enjoyed gardening, and going thrifting with the kids. It made her day when she would be crocheting and the happy cardinal couple that frequented her bird feeder would land and stay a while. Her other favorite drink was Sprite, but NOT Sierra Mist. She especially loved cheering on her grandbabies no matter what they were involved in. Because of her strong, unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Natalie walked out her final days with total peace, strength and dignity. In life and in her passing, she was a great witness to the goodness of God, and an encouragement and inspiration to those around her.

Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, V.H. & Blondell Deatherage; and her paternal grandparents, Ralph and Frances Harrison Trawick.

She is survived by her loving husband of thirty-nine years, Earl Knight; her daughters Summer Day (Hank), Anna Morehouse (Avery) and bonus daughter, Tara Knight; her son, Bailey Knight; her five grandchildren, Deacon, Dosson, Wilder, Harrison, and Rosalie; her sister, Phyllis Carlilse (Robert); her brothers, Brett Harrison and Chuck Harrison; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Bailey Knight, Hank Day, Avery Morehouse, Waylon Day, Haylon Day, and Liam Day.  Honorary pallbearers will be her church family at Donalsonville First Church of the Nazarene, her friends at Classical Conversations in Bainbridge, and her Headland High School Graduating Class of 1982.
