Date of Service: Funeral services will be held at Sunset Memorial Home Chapel, Saturday, November 13, 2021. Viewing from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Service at 10:00 a.m. concluding with military honors at Sunset Memorial Park.

Mr. Nathan Salter was born July 29, 1960 in Henry County, AL to Mr. Charles Salter and Lilie Pugh Salter. He entered eternal rest on November 8, 2021. At an early age Nathan joined Rocky Mount Baptist Church in Abbeville, AL. He attended Headland High School and enlisted in the United States Army in 1978.


He is preceded in death by his father Charles Salter; and siblings Clara Salter and Charles Edward Salter.


His memory will be cherished in the hearts of many including the love of his life and wife, Ethel Salter, with whom he was married to for 38 years; his mother Lillie Pugh Salter (Newville, AL); children Arkeia Tarver (Columbus, GA), Clarissa Skipper (Headland, AL), and Raymond McLoyd (his special daughter-in-law Depeatria) McLoyd (Jacksonville, FL); grandchildren, Dharius McLoyd (Jacksonville, AL), Makilah Skipper (Montgomery, AL), Raymond McLoyd, Jr. (Seattle, WA), Raheem McLoyd (Headland, AL), Dai'jaun Garner (Headland, AL), Dajailah Garner (Headland, AL), Rayzhawn (Elizabeth) McLoyd (Jacksonville, FL), and Rayzhanicque McLoyd (Jacksonville, FL); brothers and sisters Wille (Kim) Salter (Birmingham, AL), Sandra Salter (Dothan, AL), Sanitha Salter Ingram (Stewart), Kathy Lucille Collins, Zedra Woods (Newville, AL); Aunt Sarah Salter Fain, Aron Pugh (Albany, NY), James (Shirley) Crews (Rochester, NY), Eudonice (Fred) (Ramune, FL), Carrie Thompson (Rockport, NY), Ann Johnson (Rochester, NY); sister in-laws Daisy Lambeth, Betty Ward, Sarah Butler, Cassandra Skipper, and Colmer Skipper; brother in-law Thomas Skipper, Mark Skipper, and Reuben (Audri) Skipper; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.


The family of the late Mr. Nathan Salter wishes to express our appreciation for the many acts of kindness shown during our hours of bereavement. May God bless you with his richest blessing is our prayer.


Public Visitation will be held in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home of Midland, City this Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. concluding with military honors at Sunset Memorial Park
