Mr. Ned Holland of Hattiesburg, MS passed away on Friday, August 09, 2024.  He was 79.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2024 from Providence Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Johnson delivering the eulogy. Burial will immediately follow the service with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing. Flowers will be accepted.

Mr. Ned was born in Troy, AL on August 16, 1944 to the late Clarence and Evar Lucille Smith Holland. He loved Geneva, AL and considered it his home prior to moving to Mississippi, some 57 years ago. Prior to his retirement, he owned and operated a grocery store for 40 years, while he and his wife raised their family. In his spare time, Ned enjoyed hunting and fishing, but above all else, his family was his top priority. Nothing made him happier than to spend time with his precious wife, children and grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered for his legacy of love for his family and hard work. He was a faithful member of Richburg Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, MS.

Ned is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Sarah Ruth Seay Holland of Hattiesburg, MS; three children, Ramona Foote (Mike) of Sugar Hill, GA, Russell Holland (Tina) of Hattiesburg, MS and John Holland (Rebecca) of Purvis, MS; seven grandchildren, Alaina Foote, Westley Foote, Mallory White, Reagan Holland, Jacob Holland, Campbell Holland and Mary Harper Holland; one sister, JoAnn Berry and a host of other special family and friends, whom he enjoyed spending time with.
