Nell R. Adams, 80, of Dothan passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be 11 am Monday, July 7, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Thomas and Rev. Randy Thomas officiating and Sunset Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 9-11 am prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Gideons International, Dothan Camp North, P.O. Box 5554, Dothan, Alabama 36302.

Mrs. Adams was born January 18, 1934 in Houston County and was a resident of Dothan her entire life. She was a homemaker and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her great-grandchildren whom she adored. Mrs. Adams was a member of Lafayette United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter Terri (Glen) Pipkin; grandchildren, Holli (Patrick) Chestnut, Bailie Martin, and Laurie Martin; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother Spud Bubba Thomas; several nieces and nephews.
