Nellie Richards, 87, of Midland City, AL passed away Monday, July 23, 2012 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Martin and Rev. Albert Skinner officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Project Help, Missions to the Native American Indians.

She lived in Midland City for 20 years with one of her daughters, Loretta and husband James Turner. She was born January 25, 1925 in Calhoun County and lived in Bristol, Fl most of her life. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Holiness Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 of her brothers and 3 of her sisters and 1 daughter Arlene Odom and 1 grandson Albert Skinner, Jr. of Arizona.

Survivors include her brother Wilson Richards of Columbus, GA; her 5 daughters, Chiquita Jacobs and husband Vermire of Bristol, FL, Marie Skinner and husband Albert of New Brockton, AL, Emma Jean Davis and husband Donald of Savannah, GA, Loretta Turner and husband James of Midland City, AL, and Delorse Wieszalski and husband Bruce of Dadeville, AL; her 2 sons Homer Odom Jr. of Blountstown, FL and Jessie Odom and wife Peggy of Hosford, FL; 23 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
