EWELL COMMUNITY….Mrs. Nellie Ruth Barrentine Forrester, a resident of the Ewell Community, near Ozark, died late Monday evening, October 26, 2020 in a Dothan hospital.
Private family graveside services will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Michael Woodham officiating. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. At other times, the family will be at the home of a daughter, Kathy Jackson, 260 Harrison St., Ozark, AL 36360.
Mrs. Forrester, daughter of the late John Edwin Barrentine and Purley Mae Walker Barrentine, was a native of the Asbury Community. She was a homemaker most of her life, loved her family and her Lord and Savior with all of her heart. Mrs. Forrester was an avid University of Alabama Crimson Tide Fan and also an Atlanta Braves Fan.
Surviving relatives include her husband of thirty four years, Cliff Forrester, Ozark; her children, Kathy Jackson (Loyd), Judy Munn (Billy), Tammy Danner (Stan), Randy Prescott (Teresa), and Joey Prescott (Suzi Walker); step-daughters, Michelle Forrester and Nichole Forrester Wilkinson; grandchildren, Jason Broom, Tori King (Colby), Amy Reddicks (Josh), Michelle Barentine (Russell), Ashley Munn (Tiffany), Mandy Pauley (Peter), Carrie Tabor (Tommy), Heather Lashley (Chris), Dylan Prescott, and Taylor Faulx; great-grandchildren, Victoria Hanners (Tristen), Stephen and Hannah King, Christopher and Will Lemonte, Adam and Sara Raley, Colton and Riley-Kate Munn, Payton, Anna, and Kimber Pauley, Olivia Yance, Trevor Prescott, Jagger Strain, Marshall Lashley, and Jenson and Joshua Faulx; great-great-grandchildren, Everleigh and Jayson Hanners, Caroline Lemonte, and Elijah Lemonte; brother, Billy Barrentine (Linda); sister, Eloise Marsh; several nieces and nephews in Ohio.
