Nelson Wade Watson, of Hartford, Alabama passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024 at his residence. He was 49 years old.

Born the baby of the family, on December 21, 1974, to the late Bobby Watson and Mary Champion Watson. He worked for Coleman American for many years and loved it. He was quick-witted and loved to crack jokes. Most importantly, he loved his family very much and will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Hartford. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 p.m. until service time.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Mary Champion Watson; wife, Joanie Marie Watson; brother, Bobby Michael Watson; and niece, Kristin King.

Survivors include his son, Nelson Watson, Jr. (Kelly) of Hartford; grandchildren, Ana and Maddy Watson; brother, Steve Watson of Riverside, CA; sister, Naomi Watson Sheffield (Jamie) of Noma, FL; sister, Marilyn King (Ladon); dear friend and brother, Mike Farnan; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved companion, his girl, Hattie Mae.
