Nicholas Aaron Granger of Enterprise, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the age of 41 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Enterprise with Father Zachary Greenwell officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continue until time of service.

Nicholas was born in Dothan, Alabama on November 26, 1980. He attended Ashford Academy and was a 1999 graduate of Northside Methodist Academy. He graduated in 2004 with a degree in Forestry from Auburn University. He was employed with the Alabama Forestry Commission from 2004 until his early medical retirement in 2021. He enjoyed serving his parish in various roles over the years. Nick and his wife, Sandy led the Parish and Community Life committee, helped with Children’s liturgy, promoted the Generations of Faith Campaign and taught Sunday school for several years. He enjoyed being outdoors and often said he never worked a day in his life because his position allowed him to have fun walking through the woods, working with fire, and advising landowners on best practices for property management.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donzell and Doris Granger and Nathan and Ella Tindel and Mary Doris Sanders; his aunt, Lou Edna Harrison; and brother-in-law, Andrew Edward Kraeger, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Kasandra “Sandy” Granger; children, Caroline Elizabeth Granger and Clayton Edward Granger; his parents, Anzel and Dawnita Granger; aunts, Sylvia (Alan) Nobles, Sue Cochran, and Etta Carol (Dale) Miller; uncle, Marcus Granger; step-grandfather, Marrell Sanders; his wife’s parents, Andy and Glenda Kraeger; sister-in-law, Davina Abel Kraeger; nieces, Madeline and Anna Belle Kraeger; family friends, Wayne and Beth Couto; and several cousins
