NILADEANE HODGES BUSH
EDWIN COMMUNITY. . .Niladeane Hodges Bush, a resident of the Edwin Community in Henry County, died Friday morning, March 22, 2013, in the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Facility. She was 81.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, March 24, 2013, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Preston officiating. Burial will follow in the Edwin Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 P.M. Sunday at the mortuary in Abbeville.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the 4th Wing Alzheimer’s Unit of the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Facility, “In Memory of Niladeane Bush”, 212 Dothan Road, Abbeville, AL 36310.
Mrs. Bush was a native of the Graball Community and was reared in Edwin, daughter of the late John Hodges and Mollie Price Hodges. She lived in the Edwin Community since childhood. Mrs. Bush was retired from WestPoint Stevens in Abbeville as a sewing machine operator. She was an active member of the Edwin United Methodist Church and was also a member of the the Edwin Home Demonstration Club. Mrs. Bush was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Bush, and two brothers, John Ben Hodges and wife, Odell Hodges, and James Earl Hodges and wife, Mary Hodges.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Redonner Allums and husband, David, Newville; and Dewanna Kerns, Edwin, AL; a son, Jerome Bush and wife, Sonia, Newville; a granddaughter, Skylar Kerns; several nieces and nephews including two special nephews, Spurgeon Hodges and wife, Debbie, and Johnny Hodges and wife, Marie; special friends, Wayne and Christene Brown; her canine friend, “Lady”.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Spurgeon Hodges, Johnny Hodges, Jonathan Hodges, Joseph Hodges, Norman Leidinger and Sammy Freeman.
