Norma Kathryn “MawMaw” Wehrly, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at her residence. She was 82.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, June 1, 2018 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Kocsis officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wehrly was born on February 19, 1936 in Eaton, Ohio and lived the early years of her life there. She was a 1954 graduate of Eaton High School. Mrs. Wehrly was a pharmacy technician with Gaylords for several years. She loved to travel with her husband, she loved her family, always keeping up with them through Facebook. Mrs. Wehrly was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she loved to quilt with the women’s quilting group.
Survivors include her husband, David Wehrly; her son, Mark (Stephanie) Wehrly; her daughter, Debbie (Paul) Dowling; her grandchildren, Chase (Dorothy) Wehrly, Coleman (Katie) Wehrly, Analese Peters (Omero) Rosas, Alyson Peters and her fiancé Drake Anderson, Gavin (Savanna) Dowling, and Heather Floyd Barrow (Mark Bridgewater); her great-grandchildren, Leah Wehrly, Cole Wehrly, Atlee Grace Wehrly, Hudson Dowling, James Barrow, Madeline Barrow , Victoria Barrow, and Andraya Rosas, and Chloe Rosas; her sister, Nelma Hoff; her brother-in-laws, Hank Wehrly and Jack (Mary Jane) Wehrly; and several nieces and nephews.
