Norman J. Thomas, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. He was 49.

Funeral services will be held at 4pm on Saturday, March 30, 2013 in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russell Causell officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing.

Mr. Thomas was born January 15, 1964 in Clayton, AL and lived there until moving to Ozark. He was a 1982 graduate of Carroll High School. Mr. Thomas was employed with Harper Group for several years as a steel fabricator. He loved to play softball and basketball. Mr. Thomas was a member of Springhill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Thomas, Dothan; his 2 sons, Norman Marcus Thomas and Jonathan Benard Thomas; his 2 daughters, Jennifer Shonta Thomas and Jessica Nicole Thomas; his 3 grandchildren; his mother, Gennie Bell Thomas and his father Exie Thomas; his 3 brothers, Exie Thomas, Jerry Thomas, and Rico Williams; his 2 sisters, Shirley Thomas and Dianne Mixon; several nieces and nephews also survive.
