LTC Ralph Allen Ritteman (United States Air Force, Retired) died Saturday, December 17, 2016, at his home in Ariton.  He was 89 years old.



 Funeral services for LTC Ritteman will be 10:00 A.M. (Central Time)  Wednesday, December 28, 2016, in Fort Mitchell National Veterans Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Alabama with Full Military Honors, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.



 LTC Ritteman was born January 30, 1927 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Ralph William Ritteman and Helen Carlander Ritteman.  He served proudly in the United States Air Force until his retirement as a Lieutenant Colonial. He was a West Point graduate and decorated fight pilot with 243 missions. He served in WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam.



 Survivors include two daughters, Randi Johnson of Ariton and Jacqueline Sue Cloud of Niceville, Florida; two sons, James A. Ritteman of  Ariton, and Robert Dale Ritteman of Crestview, Florida. His sisters and brothers-in-law, Marion and Gordon Kunke of Oregan, Anita and Eldon Christianson of North Dakota.
