OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK - 334‑774‑5348
Mr. Billy Ray Fralish, 81, of Ariton, died Thursday, March 21, 2013, in Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Saturday, March 23, 2013, from Bethel Assembly of God Church in Ariton with Reverend Jeff Downing and Reverend Joe Underwood officiating. Interment will follow in Ariton Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Alums, Kade Fralish, Zeke Fralish, Will Hales, Keith Wynn, Phil Paulk, and Jackson Wynn. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Mr. Fralish was born November 18, 1931 in Ariton, Alabama to the late Ewell and Pauline Hatton Fralish. He graduated from Ariton High School and Troy State College where he received his Masters Degree in mathematics. He taught math at Ozark Junior High School and was later appointed Ozark Superintendent of Education, an office he held for fifteen years until his retirement. Mr. Fralish was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Jim Wynn, Jr. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Larry Alums of Dothan; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Vince and Kelley Fralish of Ariton, Dr. Billy Kevin Fralish of Panama City, Florida; a special friend, Jane Broadway of Troy; the Mother of his children, Geraldine Paulk Fralish of Ariton; grandchildren, Vantney Alums, Kade and Samantha Fralish, Candice and Will Hales, Hannah Fralish, and Zeke Fralish; great grandchildren, Hatton Alums, Preston Fralish, and Mason Fralish; one brother, Byron Wynn of Ariton.
