OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK   ~   334‑774‑5348


     Mr. Donald C. Fisher, 83, of the Mabson Community, Ozark, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014, at his home.


     Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, September 2, 2014, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Rick Martin officiating.  Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 10:00 A. M. until service time.  Richard Burke, Billy Munn, Daniel Munn, Eddie Munn, Keith Munn, and William Munn, nephews of Mr. Fisher, will serve as pallbearers.


     Mr. Fisher was born in Dormansville, NY, on August 30, 1931, and settled in Ozark after having served in the United States Army from 1950-1953.  Mr. Fisher received his G. E. D. diploma from Carroll High School and went on to own and operate Fisher Appliance and Refrigeration Repair for 37 years. Prior to opening his own business, he was employed by Pami Aircraft for 16 years.  He was a member of Clinton Lodge, No. 287, Skipperville, O. F. F. A. M. of Alabama, being raised December 12, 1969. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Clara Myrl Munn Fisher; his parents, Clifford and Dora Fisher; and a sister, Dorothy Oravsky of Dormansville, NY.


     Survivors include his son, David (Sue) Fisher of Echo; and daughter, Patricia (Bill) Rowell of Mabson; grandsons, Joshua (Anna) Fisher of Malvern and Ethan (Keisha) Fisher of Mabson; step grand-daughters, Lissa (Mike) Howard and Rachael (James) Sanders of Zephyrhills, FL; and great grand-daughter, Hadleigh Claire Fisher of Malvern.  Other survivors include three brothers, Clifford (Marie) Fisher of Dormansville, NY, Walter (Ginny) Fisher of Voorsville, NY, and Ronald (Donna) Fisher of Crossville, TN; four brothers-in-law, Robert (Mae Opal) Munn, John Edward (Linda) Munn, and T. R. (Pat) Munn, Jr. of Ozark, and Willie Ralph (Pete and Brenda) Munn of Albany, GA; a sister-in-law, Sara Munn of Ozark; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.


     The Fisher family expresses their gratitude to the staff of AlaCare Hospice for their help during this difficult time.
