OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK -- 334‑774‑5348
Mr. Ernest Allen Render, Sr., 79, of Newton, died Tuesday morning, February 19, 2013 in Flowers Hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Friday, February 22, 2013, from Newton Baptist Church with Reverend Benjamin Johnson and Reverend Jerry Glover officiating. Interment will follow in Newton City Cemetery with Military Honors, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Mr. Render was born November 4, 1933, in Zoarville, Ohio to the late Lorin Theodore Render and Mary Viola Schwartz Render. He was reared in East Sparta, Ohio, where he graduated from East Sparta High School. He later worked for the Tinker Roller Bearing Company in Canton, Ohio. Mr. Render attended Ohio State University prior to being drafted into the United States Army in 1954. He was stationed in Fort Knox, KY, and Camp Rucker, AL. He also attended Wallace Technical School studying cabinet making and upholstery. Mr. Render worked with Sears in Dothan for thirty-five years, and did taxidermy work for forty-four years. He was a member of Newton Baptist Church for fifty-six years, and a Deacon for fifty years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Melinda Render. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Patricia Price Render of Newton; three sons, E. Allen Render, Jr. and wife Kathy of Hoover, AL, Richard Neil Render and wife Kristie of Stockbridge, GA, Clifton Price Render and wife Mitzi of Alabaster, AL; nine grandchildren, Danielle Render, Kandon Render, Matthew Render, Katie Render, Justin Render, Asa Render, Cody Render, Drew Emanuel, and Lexee Emanuel; one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Paula Render; one aunt, Dorothy Schwartz; nieces and nephews, Mark Render, Jeffery Render and wife Joan, David Render and wife Chris, and Lori Render; several great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by special family friends, Brenda and Linda McBee of Dothan. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Newton Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 97, Newton, AL 36352. Mr. Render was well-known for his faithfulness to his work and his Lord. He was loved by fellow co-workers and family.
