OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS OF OZARK ~ 334‑774‑5348
Mr. Gerald Wright, 86, of Ozark, died early Thursday, April 28, 2016.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 30, 2016, from Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark with Reverend Jim Hill and Reverend Johnny Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends in the church in Ozark Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until service time.
Mr. Wright was born November 19, 1929 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Ted Wright and Edna Irene Horne Wright. He worked with Civil Service at Fort Rucker for over thirty-six years, retiring as Supply Clerk for Lyster Army Hospital. Mr. Wright was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark and was a Mason. He enjoyed gardening and delighted in his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Woicikowfski.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Joy Parr Wright of Ozark; one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Philip Winslett of Ozark; two sons and daughters-in-law, Forrest and Kim Wright of Skipperville, Allan and Angel Wright of Ozark; one brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Syble Wright of Ozark; four grandchildren, Jared Wright (Tamara) of Ozark, Julie Wright McDaniel (Brady) of Skipperville, Ashley Wright Clemmons (Payton) of Jasper, AL, and Kolten Walker of Skipperville; four great grandchildren, Austin McDaniel and Logan McDaniel of Skipperville, Breslin Clemmons of Jasper, AL, McKenzie Wright of Ozark. Six nieces and nephews also survive.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 1971 Deese Road, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
