OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK ~ 334‑774‑5348
Mr. Henderson Looney Holman III, age 71, of Sneads, Florida, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Monday, April 21, 2014, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Dr. Christian Eckert officiating. Interment will follow in Claybank Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 12:30 P. M. until service time. Mr. Holman was born June 23, 1942 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Henderson Looney Holman, Jr. and Rhoda Pfohl Holman. He attended Auburn University and worked with various power companies helping engineer the construction of many nuclear power plants across the nation. He settled in New Hampshire in 1982 where he lived until moving to Sneads, Florida in 2013. He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed cooking. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Dalton Holman of Hampton Falls, New Hampshire; two sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick D. and Grania Holman of Atlanta, Georgia, Henderson Looney Holman IV and Debbie Holman of Sneads, Florida; grandchildren, Hannah Holman, Haleigh Holman, Heather Tidwell, Seth Patrick Holman, Trinity Holman, Ireland Holman, John Hall Holman, Andrew Holman, and Patricia Holman; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha Ellen and George D. Wright of Dalton, Georgia, Rhoda and Charlie Holleman of West Lafayette, Indiana. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chipola Area Autism Resource Center, 4438 Davis Street, Marianna, Florida 32446.
