OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK

Mr. Henry Auburn Scott, age 93, of Prattville, formerly of Wicksburg, died Friday, January 4, 2013, in Prattville Health and Rehabilitation Center.


Funeral services will be graveside 1:00 P. M. Monday, January 7, 2013, in Newton City Cemetery with Reverend Roger Campbell officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, January 6, 2013, from 3:00 P. M. until 5:00 P. M.


Mr. Scott was born September 7, 1919 in Henry County to the late Henry K. and Ida Wilkinson Scott.  He worked as a stone mason engraving monuments from 1945 until his retirement in 1994.  Mr. Scott was active up until a few months prior to his death.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Herring Scott; five sisters and five brothers.


Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Pat and James Sanford of Prattville;


one brother, Max Scott of Havana, Florida;


grandchildren, Jimmy Faulk (Melissa) of Mesa Arizona, David Faulk (Melissa) of Prattville;


great grandchildren, Allison Powers of Panama City, Florida, Macy Faulk of Prattville;


one great-great grandchild, Elise Powers.
