Obituary from Holman Funeral Home and Cremations – Ozark, AL


 


Mr. John Milton Wallace, 92, of Ozark, died Tuesday evening, September 5, 2017, in Dale Medical Center.


Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Friday, September 8, 2017, from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Reverend James Bell and Reverend Barry Clark officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends at the church Friday from 1:00 P. M. until service time.


Mr. Wallace was born June 18, 1925 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Ewell Bartholomew Wallace and Martha Louberta Helms Wallace.  He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was retired from P H & J Architects as a building inspector.  Mr. Wallace was an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Lee Isler Wallace; two sisters, Pearlie Mae Langford and Mildred Peters; two brothers, Max Wallace and Louie Harper Wallace.


Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Jim Vaught of Ozark; one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny Mack and Kathryn Wallace of Marietta, South Carolina; two step-daughters, Vera and John Cooper and Myra Winslow all of Ozark; one brother, E. T. Wallace of Prattville, Alabama.  Seven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild also survive.


Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1124 County Road 11, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
