OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK ~ 334‑774‑5348
Mr. Marvin Leonard Sullivan, age 71, of Ozark, died late Friday, January 24, 2014, in Dale Medical Center.
A family memorial service for Mr. Sullivan will be held.
Mr. Sullivan was born December 14, 1942, in Geneva County to the late Leonard Sullivan and Althia Gunter Sullivan. He served in the Alabama National Guard and as an Alabama State Trooper in Mobile, Eufaula and Dothan until his retirement. Mr. Sullivan was quick with a joke, loved animals, enjoyed fishing and Alabama football. He was generous, honest and loyal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Joan Sullivan.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Garner Sullivan of Ozark;
one daughter, Melissa Kay Winburn of Enterprise;
five sons and three daughters-in-law, Alan and Felecia Sullivan of Bainbridge, GA, David and Diane Sullivan of Ozark, Chris and Emily Sullivan of Geneva, Scott Sullivan and Chase Sullivan of Ozark;
two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane and Dennis Fulford of Samson, Susan and Emmett Mims of Chancellor;
nine grandchildren, Brittany Harvey, Jeremy Sullivan, Erika Sullivan, Mikaela Sullivan, Brooke Winburn, Blake Winburn, Chasity Winburn, Abbie Sullivan, and Gunter Sullivan;
four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews;
his dog, Scrappy;
good friends, Donald and Tamela Courtney of Ozark.
